Description

Group Experience

This class is taught in English.
Learners will be given a top presenting tip each week which will build their skills, they will also learn a great deal about their presenting skills and style by taking part in the regular presenting challenges. Learners can also learn from each other and Mrs. T by drawing on the expertise within the group.
I have worked as a live presenter (events, theme parks, holiday camps, and hotels), in TV and as a radio presenter. I have also recently branched into creating and presenting videos, presenting online, and podcasting.
I have 16+ years of experience teaching Drama (and some Music, PSHCE and English) to 11 to 15 years olds and Performing Arts to 16 to 18 year olds in bricks and mortar schools, where I currently still teach part-time and I have many years of experience leading community workshop schemes (like create a play in a week) and local drama groups for ages 4 to 16. I have a degree in Performing Arts (BAPA) and a Post Graduate certificate in Drama education (PGCE).

I have also produced and directed many productions (musicals and plays), including some I have written myself.
Welcome to our Present like a Pro Group!

We want all of our learners to feel comfortable, connected, and safe. That's why we have 3 important rules we ask you to follow: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Respectful.

Be Kind - Please help all learners feel welcome and included.
Learners from all over the world, with different backgrounds, races, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, ages, religions, and body types, are welcome to participate in our Group. Learners will also be coming from all sorts of presenting backgrounds, whether they are literally just starting out or already run a highly successful Youtube channel, whether they absolutely love to talk or find it a real challenge. Everyone is welcome to join and share in this group and no question is ever silly or pointless if it is important to a learner. We are always kind and make others, especially new learners, know that they belong and are very welcome. Teasing, name-calling, mocking, or bullying anybody in our community will not be tolerated!

Be Safe - Keep your personal information private and never ask other learners for theirs.
Personal things are personal. We want to keep you safe on Outschool, but we also want YOU to understand how to be safe when you're meeting other learners or teachers. Keep your full name, home address, gaming or social media name, email, YouTube channel, and school name private please.

Be Respectful - Treat others how you want to be treated.
Keep the language clean and information you share safe. If you wouldn't say it or share it with your Grandma, don't do it here. Swear words, racy videos, and violent images are not allowed. Treat Outschool like a public place, and when in doubt, keep things covered.
View and create posts any time, at your own pace..
Although this group may include learners who are creating their own YouTube materials, as per Outschool policy, we ask that learners do not share any personal information such as their YouTube channel, Social Media or gaming name etc. Learners will not be required to visit any third party sources for this group and if Mrs. T does post any YouTube videos they will be embedded into the classroom to avoid learners having to visit YouTube itself. Learners are welcome to submit short video clips to the group but the content must be their own and school-appropriate.
Please note that learners must be 13+ to upload YouTube videos to YouTube.
