Each week we will discuss a new musical theater show. This will be a great opportunity for learners to introduce each other to shows they are not yet familiar with! We will discuss what we liked about the show, any additional background that may be of interest, and delve into aesthetics and art criticism by discussing what we liked and what we might change about it. Ideally, learners will need to have access to the music we will be discussing, but they might also use the discussion to ask...
This class is taught in English.
Learners will explore their interest in musical theater by discussing various aspects of it with other learners.
I am a certified K-12 art teacher. I have taught art criticism at a variety of grade levels and have applied those skills to musical theater.
Depending on the shows that learners choose to discuss, some adult themes and language may be present in the story and lyrics.
