What's included
Group experience
Each week we will discuss a new musical theater show. This will be a great opportunity for learners to introduce each other to shows they are not yet familiar with! We will discuss what we liked about the show, any additional background that may be of interest, and delve into aesthetics and art criticism by discussing what we liked and what we might change about it. Ideally, learners will need to have access to the music we will be discussing, but they might also use the discussion to ask about a show to see if it is a play they might enjoy! My role as moderator will be to facilitate discussion by asking leading questions and encouraging learners to suggest new shows to discuss. I strive to create a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere where all learners feel comfortable interacting. Our main point of interaction will be through the discussion questions. Students might also upload pictures or an audio file if they find that method easier to express themselves. My intention is to create one weekly post for learners to interact on and I will also be active and responsive to any learner questions and comments.
Learning Goals
Learners will explore their interest in musical theater by discussing various aspects of it with other learners.
