What's included

Group experience

In this group, I hope to provide a positive learning environment where students will feel comfortable and safe to interact with other students. This group will have discussions on the different forms of anime and manga. While the group is going, students will have multiple opportunities to interact with other students. Every week I will post a discussion topic for learners to engage with each other on. I will also be posting trivia or game questions every week for learners to engage with besides discussion topics. Some examples of what topics we will be going over every week is:
-What anime episode was our favorite for that week?
-What anime quote did we like that week?
-Who was our favorite anime hero/villain for that week?
-Guess that anime character ( I blur and discolor popular anime characters and the learner guesses who they are)
-Cosplay can be shown off for the group
-Fan art can also be shown off to the group that was drawn
-What anime scene emotionally touched you this week?

Guidelines
Welcome to our Group! We want all of our learners to feel comfortable, connected, and safe. That's why we have 3 rules we ask you to follow: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Respectful. Be Kind - Help all learners feel welcome and included. Learners from all over the world, with different backgrounds, races, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, religions and body types, participate in our Group. Always be nice and make others, especially new learners, know that they belong and are welcome. Teasing, name calling, or bullying anybody in our community? Nope. Not happening here Be Safe - Keep your personal information private and never ask other learners for theirs. Personal things are personal. We want to keep you safe on Outschool, but we also want YOU to understand how to be safe when you're meeting other learners or teachers. Keep your full name, home address, gaming or social media name, email, and school name private. Be Respectful - Treat others how you want to be treated. Keep language clean and information you share safe. If you wouldn't say it or share with your grandma, don't do it here. Swear words, racy videos, and violent images are not allowed. Treat Outschool like a public place, and when in doubt, keep things covered.

Hello! My name is Christian Gonzalez and I am a college graduate with my AA. My goal is to combine interesting and engaging topics with social skills to help all my students improve on their communication prowess.

I have an absolute passion for sports and video games. I have mentored and participated in local sports leagues for 8 years. I enjoy playing and watching basketball, soccer, football, and bowling. I won multiple awards and medals for my participation.

I am Autistic and have ADHD so I know what learners who are similar to me might need. Whether that is visuals cues or just things that make the experience more engaging. I have worked in social groups with people who have disabilities. I have also volunteered with the special Olympics since 2016 and have worked with many athletes on different levels.

I hope to use the knowledge I have from participating and watching sports to make my classes interesting and enjoyable for the students to learn. I look forward to teaching your child in one of my classes!
