(Obviously, for me.) I really enjoyed this class talking about and practicing my cover letter and resume. It had brought my experience to the next level just by helping me to actually write the cover letter and resume. So thank you for this class Mrs. Katelyn Miller. It has really helped.” -An Outschool Parent. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Come share your work with fellow job seekers! Share how your job searching is going with fellow job searchers who are your age. Read each other’s resumes, cover letters, digital portfolios, get ideas for your own, practice interviewing with peers, and chat about the successes and challenges of finding a job. This is a great way to begin networking! In this club, your 14-18 year old may share their successes and challenges of job searching, and gain insight from other students throughout the world who are job seeking too. This group is intended for any of my students who took my Life After High School: Career Prep class and want to get ideas from other students. However, all are welcome to join. My hope for this club is for students to: *To have students come back after days, weeks, or even months after taking class 1, and ask for someone to proof their resumes, cover letters, ask for tips, brush up on interviewing skills, etc.; *learn from each other; *provide feedback to each other to improve their cover letters, resumes, portfolios, networking tips, financial budgeting tips, etc.; *encourage each other to practice interview skills; *encourage each other to read each other’s works; *get ideas from each other; *discuss with each other topics of interest; *share website formatting ideas with each other; *and meet new, wonderful students! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - How I will moderate this class: I will join in on student conversations weekly, provide feedback if necessary, and encourage students to continue to improve their work, and have fun. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
