Dungeons & Dragons Lounge (Chat Group)

Join us in keeping the discussion going beyond the campaign: we'll share D&D stories, inspire each other with character ideas, create original/homebrew content (monsters, items, spells, etc.), and more!

What's included

Group experience

US Grade 3 - 6
This Dungeons & Dragons Lounge is an encouraging group for learners to continue the D&D fun outside of campaigns by discussing D&D and sharing original creations.

The instructor (me) will stimulate activity in the group by posting weekly Discussion prompts and instructor will always give constructive feedback on learner posts.

Example Discussion prompts include:

-"What's your favorite campaign you've ever played, and why?"
-"Share the character you've been playing with lately. What was your inspiration for it?"
-"Create a piece of homebrew content (original monster, item, spell, etc.)"

The instructor will moderate discussions by asking follow-up questions to encourage activity, posting additional content related to what learners are sharing, and generally making sure discussions are respectful.

Guidelines
Welcome to the Dungeons & Dragons Lounge! I'm excited to chat about D&D with you. Below are Outschool's group participation guidelines. Above all, be good to each other in the group, and we'll all have fun! Be Kind - Help all learners feel welcome and included. Learners from all over the world, with different backgrounds, races, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, religions and body types, participate in our Group. Always be nice and make others, especially new learners, know that they belong and are welcome. Teasing, name calling, or bullying anybody in our community? Nope. Not happening here Be Safe - Keep your personal information private and never ask other learners for theirs. Personal things are personal. We want to keep you safe on Outschool, but we also want YOU to understand how to be safe when you're meeting other learners or teachers. Keep your full name, home address, gaming or social media name, email, and school name private. Be Respectful - Treat others how you want to be treated. Keep language clean and information you share safe. If you wouldn't say it or share with your grandma, don't do it here. Swear words, racy videos, and violent images are not allowed. Treat Outschool like a public place, and when in doubt, keep things covered.

I'm an avid D&D player and experienced Dungeon Master. When I'm not playing, I read D&D fan forums and listen to D&D podcasts to help me brainstorm compelling storylines for my campaigns. In addition to this class, I teach 8 other D&D classes, including the first of its kind on Outschool.
