What's included
Group experience
Have a book you love?! Let's talk all about it (except the ending... no spoilers!) In this book club we read all the books and share our favorites! We also play book related games and make book related crafts. All members are encouraged to post and share ideas and crafty creations. As the moderator, I will encourage all participants by asking questions to help members talk and discuss the books they love and help them get other each other excited about reading. I will also lead students in book related games and discussion. My goal is for this group to be fun, for everyone to feel safe and encouraged to share, and for all of us to want to read more. Twice a week, I will post creative questions to get readers thinking about the books they are reading and encourage them to share ideas. Students will be encouraged to post their own questions and reviews of books they love. Come meet new friends and have fun talking about all things related to a great read.

Hi! I'm Kelly Sage. I teach and tutor at Outschool. If you are interested in 1-1 tutoring, please get in touch with me to schedule a session.
All of my classes help students build confidence, interest, and skills. Mindset is important to me. I want my students to leave class feeling good about themselves, supported, and excited to keep learning.
I also work hard to create a supportive environment so students feel safe to meet their challenges. You'll see all of my group classes have class agreements. These help us create an online classroom where everyone can learn and enjoy learning.
A learner's interests are important, and I gear my lessons accordingly. My 1:1 classes are designed specifically for each learner. My group classes make sure to include various options and strategies to meet the needs of all my students, no matter how they learn best.
I started teaching English in 2003. I spent three years as a public high school teacher and then taught middle and high school at a private school for children with dyslexia and learning disabilities. In 2013, I started homeschooling my children, and in 2017, I started teaching at Outschool.
I love teaching online just as much as I love teaching in person. I love that no matter where we each login from, I can help my students meet their goals and find success.
Along with Outschool, I teach on Creative ELA, Cambly, facilitate adult classes for Women Writing for (a) Change and Kindred Explorers, and homeschool one of my children. I also provide educational resources for parents and teachers on my website, Curiosity Encouraged. https://curiosityencouraged.com
I currently work with readers and writers ages 3-80+ years old. I would love to work with your child!
Please message me if you have any questions,
Kelly
