Welcome to the Creative Minecraft Building Challenges class! Here, you’ll take on creative prompts, build your best representations, and share your work with the group. All builds will be created on your personal Minecraft computers/devices. This group is a place to learn, improve your building skills, and collaborate with others to create something amazing. Every month, students will be given two prompts: First Prompt – Due in 2 weeks. Second Prompt – Due in 4 weeks/end of the month. Builders will then individually create their best representation of each prompt using Minecraft's creative mode. Upon completion, builders will submit photos/screenshots of their builds to the group page. After submission, students will have the opportunity to comment on their favorite build and appreciate various building styles. This is a great time to learn other build styles as well as show off yours. Class Guidelines: Originality: Builds must be entirely original. Builders can draw inspiration from others' work, but submitting someone else’s build as your own is not allowed. Learning Focus: The class emphasizes learning new techniques and ideas through shared feedback and discussions about the builds. Builders will have the opportunity to grow their skills and help each other improve. By the end of the class, students will have learned new approaches to building and honed their skills in creating detailed, imaginative Minecraft structures.
Learning Goals
Creative Builds and Design: Develop your creativity by designing and constructing unique structures, landscapes, and redstone contraptions, pushing the boundaries of your imagination.

Parental Guidance
This group does not take place on a Minecraft server. All builds should be created on personal Minecraft computers/devices. No Minecraft usernames need to be shared in this class.
I will do my best to moderate this group. However, because it's impossible to monitor every interaction in real-time, I rely on the cooperation of all members to report any misconduct to me immediately. This community thrives on mutual respect and adherence to the guidelines, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you witness or experience any inappropriate behavior. Together, we can ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Guidelines
Welcome to our Group! We want all of our learners to feel comfortable, connected, and safe. That's why we have 3 rules we ask you to follow: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Respectful.
Be Kind - Help all learners feel welcome and included.
Learners from all over the world, with different backgrounds, races, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, and religions, participate in our Group. Always be nice and make others, especially new learners, know that they belong and are welcome. Teasing, name calling, or bullying anybody in our community? Nope. Not happening here
Be Safe - Keep your personal information private and never ask other learners for theirs.
Personal things are personal. We want to keep you safe on Outschool, but we also want YOU to understand how to be safe when you're meeting other learners or teachers. Keep your full name, home address, gaming or social media name, email, and school name private.
Be Respectful - Treat others how you want to be treated.
Keep language clean and information you share safe. If you wouldn't say it or share with your grandma, don't do it here. Swear words, racy videos, and violent images are not allowed. Treat Outschool like a public place.

Teacher expertise and credentials
From privately tutoring a ten-year-old, to holding activity’s for 8-11 year olds I’m ecstatic to be teaching online. With a bachelor's degree in Russian, living abroad for almost 3 years, and as a web developer, I feel I can relate to students of all backgrounds! If learners leave my class with more confidence in themselves and their capacity to learn something difficult then my goal was accomplished (while having fun along the way)!
