Learners will build connection to promote wellness. Having fun is important for our brains. 

I've facilitated the Making Friends groups on Outschool since 2017. I believe a safe space that centers young voices is important. I suggest games, say silly stuff, and share creative things to get the party started and then try to stay out of the way.

My son loves joining in and making new friends and playing games, Thank you Carly for putting all this together. Your child will enjoy this class it is so much fun.

This has been a great place for my 13 year old daughter to be interacting with other kids her age. She really enjoys it. I can always hear heraughing across the house while shes in her class.  The teacher and students in this class make her feel welcome and comfortable being herself.

When reviewing his courses for the week, I ask my son, "Do you want to continue the Making Friends class?" His reply is always, "YES!!" Ms. Carley is sweet! She is fun and encouraging, as she gently guides the kids through the different game play each week. I LOVE IT, MOM!! And begins to tell me about the different personalities he meets each week! I LOVE IT TOO!

My son loved this class. He looked forward to it every week. He is excited to sign up again and continuing making friends. Developing social skills has always been a challenge for him and he thrived in the class. The class gave him confidence and opportunities to engage and interact using his developed skills while being led by Ms. Carly.

Making Friends (Ages 9 to 12) Ongoing

This group is trauma informed. That means we don't play around with potentially traumatic topics including murder and violence. All topics are welcome for discussion but trauma will not be our party theme. This includes murder mystery games. 

This group is inclusive. That means that autistic and neurodivergent communication styles are welcome. Learners may share special interests as often as they want to.

Bullying type behaviours will result in removal without refund.
