Zumba Kids Workout es una fiesta de baile llena de energía y ritmo, repleta de rutinas aptas para niños. ¡Hagamos ejercicio mientras nos divertimos y hacemos amigos en este club de Zumba semanal! ¡Traiga toda su energía junto con sus movimientos de baile favoritos!

This Zumba class is specifically designed for children, aiming to provide a fun and energetic workout experience from start to finish! This class incorporates lively music from many different genres, dance moves, and aerobic exercises to promote physical fitness and a love for getting active. This class is perfect for beginners and no prior dance or workout experience is required.

Each class will start with a warm-up song followed by a dance till' we drop amazing time together! There will be choreography as well as moments of freestyle. Jump in any week because Zumba is a learn as you go experience and every class will be the best time to start! Each class we will socialize throughout as we catch our breath in between songs. Speaking of songs, send me your requests each week because doing your favorite songs is my favorite thing to do! Class will be learner led based on their song choices (of course I will always have tons of options ready to go!). We will always finish with a slow cool-down song and stretch (and big high fives!).

6. Stress Relief and Emotional Well-being: Dancing and physical activity release endorphins, which are known to improve mood and reduce stress. Zumba Kids! allows children to have fun, let loose, and release energy, promoting emotional well-being and a positive mindset.

7. Cultural Awareness: Zumba Kids! exposes children to various styles of music and dance from different cultures around the world. This helps broaden their cultural awareness and appreciation for diversity.

Metas de aprendizaje

Zumba Kids! programs help develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives. Classes incorporate key childhood development elements such as leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, balance, and cultural awareness. 

They will also be working towards achieving the daily physical activity recommendations of both the CDC and American Heart Association. According to the CDC, it is recommended that children and adolescents ages (6-17 years) should do 60 minutes or more of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity each day, including daily aerobic – and activities that strengthen bones (like running or jumping) – 3 days each week, and that build muscles (like climbing or doing push-ups) – 3 days each week." 

According to the American Heart Association: 
Active kids are more likely to have: 
-a healthy weight 
-stronger, healthier bones and muscles 
-better heart and brain health 
-improved brain function, including memory, attention and problem-solving 
-better school attendance and academic performance, especially in math, reading and writing  
-lower long-term risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and some kinds of cancer 
-less stress and fewer symptoms of anxiety and depression 
-less inappropriate and distracting classroom behavior 
-improved mental health and psychological well-being, including confidence and self-esteem

Parental guidance is suggested just to make sure your child is staying hydrated and resting when needed. But don't worry! We will take plenty of group water and breathing breaks! We will use these rest times to engage in games and activities as well as socialize!
