Let's dive deep into the ocean and draw some cute mermaids! In this one time class, we will learn some basic drawing techniques while drawing cute mermaids with colored pencils. Learners will learn about light and shadow and shading. - Light and Shadow Learners will choose where their light is coming from and learn where to put the shadows. - Shading Learners will shade the sphere using what they learning about light and shadow to create believability. This class will have a relaxed atmosphere and will have plenty of time for curious questions! Learners will watch demos first before working on their own drawings. Encouragement will be given throughout, and the class will finish with a celebratory show and tell. I'm very excited to see you in my class!

While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently
