In my Young Readers Book Club (Grades 1-3) - Exploring Books With Gifted Characters!, I focus on characters with unique gifts, helping your child embrace their individuality. WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL DISCOVER: Kids will learn to appreciate what makes them special. Engaging in discussions and activities will spark their imagination. Critical thinking strategies - SCAMPER, Hypothetical Thinking, Rank Ordering, etc It’s not just about reading; it’s a workout for those brilliant minds! CLASS REQUIREMENTS: Students are expected to read or listen to the assigned book before class. CLASS STRUCTURE: Warm-Up: Kick things off by igniting curiosity and creativity. Discussion Questions: Engage in thought-provoking, open-ended conversations. Writing Component: Practice summary writing, constructed responses, or creative prompts. Wrap-Up: Enjoy a fun activity that encourages creative thinking.
