In this interactive, mind stimulating, vocabulary building, YOU Solve It Mystery Stories Book Club, young sleuths are introduced to mystery adventure stories read by the Teacher as they listen for clues and solve each mystery. Young sleuths will listen to a mystery adventure story, gather clues, meet different characters as they face different challenges, visit different places, learn about setting, plot, learn new vocabulary, interact with other young sleuths in the Club, share opinions and points of view as together we solve different mysteries each time. Young sleuths will be introduced to a new adventure each week, expand their imagination, develop critical thinking skills, learn to attend to details, use clues to solve each mystery, begin to recall sequence of events, predict what might happen next, and give a short summary, retelling the story in their own words. Learners who read English as well as those learning and improving their English speaking skills will enjoy solving mysteries week after week. So put on your thinking cap, bring your listening ears, imagination and energy and let's solve mysteries each week. Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Maestría en Educación desde Indiana University
I LOVE reading! and reading to others, especially children. As a Principal and educator of 50+ years, I always read in my classroom, as Tutor, volunteer teacher around the world and as a Principal to large groups of students at a time. Additionally, I was trained via classes at the Los Angeles Music Center on story telling methods. Who doesn't like a good mystery book? As a precocious reader I was known as Lady Snoop in my younger years and friends sometime still call me that today. I love reading a good mystery and hope my enthusiasm rubs off on each young Sleuth who enrolls with me in YOU Solve It Mystery Stories Book Club.
