Project writing: book review due for day 2 will be discussed on day one during class. (students choose their own book to review) Handout for writing a book review for guidance will be given to the students.

What will be taught:
Students learn how to write a book review that tells what a book is about.
Students learn also how to tell what the writer thinks of it. 
Students learn how to be a critic in telling what they think about the story.
Students will also learn how to write a book review using the title, author's name, a strong beginning, main character's, story events, and their opinion. 
Students will learn how to write a personal narrative as a challenge writing activity.
Students will have to complete a book review assignment for day two class and use the rules they learned about their choice of a book for a book review to discuss during class. 
Day 2 there will be another writing challenge or activities on other stories that will be discussed during class. 
How will the class lesson be taught:
Doc slides, student engagement with writing activities, discussions and one project book review assignment for day 2. 
Students will have handouts to help them on their own when doing the assignment. 
Great class for students who need more practice with writing skills, or reading comprehension. 
Great class for beginners, no previous knowledge necessary.

Students improve their writing skills in telling about a book. Students learn to write a book review they enjoy. Students learn to be a book critic and give their own opinion about the book of choice of what they think what the writer thinks or what the student thinks about the writer. Students will learn how to grab a reader's attention, or share a part of a story but doesn't give away the whole plot.

Orientación para padres
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
