Grado de EE. UU. 2 - 4
Nivel Beginner
In this class, students will study the parts of speech through traditional lecture-style teaching. We will cover a specific part of speech, followed by activities where students will identify, match, and sort examples, and then generate their own sentences. This hands-on approach ensures students practice extensively.

Please bring a pencil and a journal for writing exercises.

We will do a lot of writing and sprinkle in some spelling work!

Activities
• Quick Writes: Timed exercises that encourage rapid recall and application of the parts of speech in writing.
• Spelling Practice: Activities designed to reinforce spelling rules and improve accuracy in written work.
• Sharing Sessions: Opportunities for students to share their writing, ideas, and insights with peers, fostering collaboration and feedback.
• Discussion Rounds: Opportunities for students to discuss challenging aspects of writing and share tips or tricks they've found helpful.

The schedule is flexible as some lessons may require more or less time than anticipated.
The class will only proceed if it meets the minimum number of learners required.

Angelica and a small team of tutors provide one-on-one and small group instruction for emerging and struggling readers.

We have a robust online reading curriculum and have been serving families for over 5 years!

Viva Phonics uses a structured literacy approach to help struggling readers achieve reading success. Each phonics lesson is strategically designed to help your struggling reader master new skills and gain confidence in their reading ability.

Readers start by increasing their understanding of letter-sound relationships. This is key to helping students recognize familiar words and decode new words. The ability to decode helps readers grasp new vocabulary and apply new terms correctly.

Readers gradually build reading fluency through repetition, practice and drills. This new ability to read words quickly, accurately and with expression will improve a student's comprehension skills, increasing his appetite for reading and devouring all things words.

Then, readers develop a rock-solid foundation in spelling through dictation exercises – an integral part of reading – by practicing the speech sounds verbally, and spelling those speech sounds accurately. A strong speller is a strong reader and writer!
