➡️What Will Be Taught? Students will listen to fun and engaging stories about different topics , learn new vocabulary words, and practice their writing by answering themed writing prompts. ➡️My teaching approach: Weekly Opener: I’ll start each week with a Google Slides presentation that introduces the theme 📊✨ Vocabulary Learning: Students will be introduced to 1-2 new vocabulary words each lesson 📚📝 Read-Aloud Story: I’ll read a story that ties into the theme 📖🎉 Discussion: We’ll briefly discuss the story’s elements together 🗣️🤔 Writing Prompt: Finally, we’ll work on a writing activity that ties back to the daily theme ✍️📝 (could be answering a prompt, creating a list, or responding to an open-ended question) Extra Time: If time allows, we may use the extra time to play a group game or simply chat! 🎲💬 ➡️Background knowledge for success: Students need letter/sound knowledge, helps transfer it to paper, and improves writing skills. ➡️Topics/Themes for each week ⇢ Week of March 4th: Making Friends ⇢ Week of March 11: Get up and Go! ⇢ Week of March 18: Use your senses ⇢ Week of March 25: Tools we use ⇢ Week of April 1st: Shapes all around us ⇢ Week of April 8: World of Bugs ⇢ Week of April 15 Rules to go by ⇢ Week of April 22-no classes ⇢ Week of April 29 Sounds Around Us ⇢ Week of May 6 The Places We Go ⇢ Week of May 13 Time for Work
