This class will be a fun session in which we will make "Valen-Kites", or Valentine's Day cards with kite designs on them. - Learners will be required to bring paper (any type is fine) and drawing or coloring instruments of their choice (pencils, crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc.). - They will be led through the process of creating the card, including drawing a "Valen-Kite”. - Inside the card, students will also get to write or draw their own personal messages for the person to whom they would like to give the card. Overall, the class is meant to be an easy and fun celebration of Valentine's Day. I look forward to seeing your learning in the class!

Hi, I'm Teacher Paro (she/her/hers)! I teach the following subjects on Outschool:
- writing
- meditation
- vocabulary
- children’s literature
- travel/area studies
- arts and crafts courses
I have taught on Outschool since spring of 2020, and teaching on the platform has been such a joy for me. I love seeing my learners gain new knowledge and challenge themselves to exceed their own expectations. In every class, we make a commitment to being open to new knowledge and experiences, and having fun along the way!
Across all topics I teach, I believe a good learning environment should be:
- kind and respectful to one another
- interested in questions and new ideas
- open to letting learners (and even the teacher!) make and learn from mistakes
- encouraging of reflection on the learning experience
- appreciative of how amazing it is that we can keep learning and growing through our whole life
Prior to Outschool, I have had over 10 years of experience in education in instructional and research roles. I have master’s degrees from Brown University and The George Washington University. Through my classes, my learners build:
-creativity
-confidence
-problem-solving skills
-awareness of self and the community and world around them
