In this one-time class, we will dive into the fascinating culture and customs of Japan. With my firsthand experience of living and teaching in Korea for a year, I have had the privilege to explore Japan and Southeast Asia extensively. This unique perspective, combined with my in-depth knowledge of Southeast Asian history from a non-western viewpoint, has given me a unique understanding of the diverse cultures within Southeast Asia. Join me in this class as we immerse ourselves in the rich tapestry of Japanese culture and gain valuable insights from my experiences in the region.
