Let's train your brain while we blow your mind! Do your parents remember the games they used to play... the ones they tried to figure out for hours. The friends that they laughed with and grew to understand because of how they played each game. Do they remember the sense of accomplishment they felt when they finally figured it out! WONDER-ful Mind Games is a place where we will laugh, belong, and overcome obstacles together. We will play many games that will stretch your brain - some may seem simple, but looks can be deceiving. Each will make you think in different ways and use your multiple intelligences to be successful in your strategy. Sometimes we will be silly, sometimes serious, sometimes sneaky. Each week we will play games based on patterns, language, and observations. I would tell you what we will play, but then the element of surprise would be lacking. So... you will find out when you come. They will be games similar to The Right Party or Snaps. Just be ready to have fun, break the ice, push your boundaries, and experience something new. You never know what is just around the corner! Week 1 - Optical illusions and a group game based on a deceiving pattern. So simple when you know the secret. We will be detectives and figure out "Who Stole the Cookie From the Cookie Jar?" Week 2 - Today's game is based on language. "We're going to a Birthday party. What will you bring?. I'll bring an elephant... I can go. You can bring whatever you want to, but will you be able to go? Yes.... as soon as you figure out how to play the game! Week 3 - Speed unites in our Tongue Twister Challenge... Can you say Toy Boat? We will also find numbers in a beautiful piece of art. Week 4 - These mind-bending games stretch your memory and observation skills. Can you find the leader? How sneaky can you be? Week 5 - It's riddle day! So, Who loves coming to class each week, laughing, persevering and growing your brain??? Your right.... the answer is YOU! And this week we will play another incredible game, and guess what? Each week keeps changing... Just like our brains! Please note: Answers will be discovered, but never told. You may join in at any time. Kids have fun playing, even if they already know the game. Some games take several tries to be challenged and triumphant. Ah... a life skill!

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hi! My name is Amy Spiess-Ki and I cannot wait to teach your child! I started my journey as a Camp Counselor for 6 years. We played a gazillion games under the sun! I learned to incorporate many of them into my classroom. They are tried and true classics! While I was a Camp Counselor, I also obtained my Masters of Music Education degree, and since I have taught over 20,000 children in just over 20 years! I enjoy working with children, seeing the magic in every child I teach, and experiencing joy together! Let's play!
