Lista de útiles escolares
Student will need a length of rope. I suggest a 12 to 15 foot piece of rope if you plan to have your student take any of my other knots classes. 6 feet of rope would work just fine for this class. The rope should be nylon, between 8mm and 11mm for ease of tying and untying. (550 cord or para cord is a popular and cheap option and is suitable, but a little thin to be working with) The student will also need something to tie the rope off to. A dowel, broom handle, back of a chair, or even a door handle. Something that can be in front of the camera so I can assess their work.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hello, my name is Joe, I currently work as a middle school teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, and I have been in the military for the last 18 years. Working as a teacher and serving in the military has given me the opportunity to travel the world, and has put me in situations that allow me to use different skills I've learned along the way.
The classes I offer here on Outschool will be geared towards children's natural sense of creativity and amazement in the outdoors. Whether it's learning how to tie knots, build a shelter, start a fire, find your way in the wild, draw, paint, or color, my classes will be both informative and fun for kids of every age and skill level. My hope is that by taking my classes, kids will come away with more confidence in handling anything nature has to throw at them, as well as learn fun and new skills they can apply during family recreational adventures. I plan to offer safe and practical lessons that kids of all ages and skill levels can learn. My classes will be fun and interactive for all learners. I enjoy fielding questions from curious minds, and look to give any information I can on the topics I will cover.
I have five children of my own that I enjoy teaching these lessons to, and it makes me smile every time I see them take the lessons I teach, and use them in their day to day adventures. I look forward to working with you and sharing some of the experiences I gained over the years.
