This course was designed to teach children how to tell time on an analog clock. I’ve partnered with others to create an interactive PowerPoint that allows students to annotate on the screen. No materials are needed! Individual attention will be given and everyone will be able to participate in games and challenge questions. In this class, students will discover: 1.The difference between an analog clock versus a digital clock. 2. The different parts of a clock. 3. How to label a clock. 4. What each number represents. 5. How to draw time. 6. How to tell time. My goal is to have each student master the concept of telling time by the end of this four-week course. *If I see a learner struggling, I will extend class 5-10 minutes to work with the learner individually each week.* Please Note: If you would like a preview, I recommend signing up for my "What Time Is It? Make an Analog Clock with Me" one-time class which highlights the differences between an analog clock vs. a digital clock. Talk soon! Simone

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
With 15+ years of experience working with children, I am passionate about ensuring your learner is on track moving forward in the 2020-2021 school year. Hi! My name is Simone, I am a Baltimore based independent contractor working with families locally and virtually.
While completing my bachelors degree in psychology from Stevenson University with a focus in child behavior modification, I was the head teacher of PlayKeepers, an after-school program consisting of 60+ children. During my time at the elementary school, I continued my studies at Loyola obtaining my post-baccalaureate in Speech Language Pathology.
During my undergraduate studies at Nova Southeastern University, I worked for America Reads/Counts, a Federal Work-Study program serving as a math tutor to elementary school children. The goal of this program is to help elementary school students increase their confidence and enjoyment of mathematics while ensuring each student was on grade level.
Recently, I worked at Goldsmith Early Childhood Education Center with children aged 2-5 before leaving corporate America to work as an independent contractor for VIPKid, an online educational company teaching ESL to students in China, virtually. I've taught over 4,500+ classes and mentored over 80 people who have transitioned to online teaching as well.
Throughout the years, I’ve always enjoyed witnessing "aha" moments. Every interaction is led with a growth mindset approach. I bring a positive attitude to each class and enjoy getting to know my students on a deeper level. I am patient, encouraging, and aim to build confidence.
I look forward to seeing you in the classroom!
Simone
