💙💜💛 Welcome to Sing Create Play!!

What to Expect:

Story time Adventure:
We will begin our class with a captivating story, "What Shall We Do with an Angry Monster?" This tale follows a friendly monster who learns how to handle big feelings of anger. Through the story and video clips, children will see that it's okay to feel angry and discover ways to help the monster (and themselves) calm down.

Calming Techniques:
After the story, we will explore a variety of calming techniques to help manage anger and other strong emotions. Techniques will include:

~ Deep Breathing: Learning to take slow, deep breaths to feel more relaxed.
~ Mindful Movement: Simple yoga poses and stretches that help release tension.
~ Visualization: Imagining a peaceful place to find calm.
~ Music and Rhythm: Using soothing music and rhythmic activities to promote self-regulation.

Interactive Activities:
Children will participate in fun, hands-on activities designed to practice these calming techniques. Activities may include:

~ Drawing or coloring their own "peaceful place" that they can think of when they need to calm down.
~ Role-playing scenarios to practice using calming techniques in different situations.

Inclusive Environment:
This class is designed to be inclusive and supportive of children of all abilities, including those with autism and ADHD. We aim to create a welcoming space where every child can feel comfortable and learn at their own pace.

Group Sharing:
Children will learn that everyone feels angry sometimes and that there are healthy ways to cope with those feelings.

Conclusion:
To wrap up our session, we will review what we've learned and how we can use these calming techniques at home, at school, or anywhere else. Each child will receive a "Calm Down Monster" certificate as a reminder of their new skills in managing emotions.

Join us in this fun and educational class where we turn angry monsters into calm friends and learn that everyone has the power to find peace within themselves!
