💥 For more scheduled classes, please scroll down to “Show Alternative Times.” Shh...listen in on a conversation between an ancient Egyptian mother and her daughter as they talk about beauty, marriage and childbirth, working in and outside the home and rights as a woman in ancient Egypt. You and I will find out the secrets of ancient Egyptian women not only in the form of facts but also with made-up conversations between ancient Egyptian mothers and daughters. Week 1. Beauty, Learning, Love and Marriage, Childbirth and Children Week 2. Work inside and outside the home, your rights as a woman One of the most fun parts of this class is that students can role-play (optional) the dialogue of the mother or daughter. (I'll play the mother :) Please see the 💥 SYLLABUS 💥 for more class details. How I Teach: - Classes with only four students. - Dramatic Keynote (PowerPoint) presentation with illustrations, maps and photos of ancient artwork. - Animated lecture and discussion. - The showing of genuine antiquities from my collection. - A video clip comparing the women of ancient Egypt with those of ancient GREECE. I interact a lot with learners, encouraging kids to share their opinions, ideas, mistakes and triumphs. I love it when kids laugh. After the class, I message parents/caretakers to tell them how their student did, and I include extra files for their interest.
