In this class we will discuss all of the things that are needed in order to properly take care of your pet. As an avid and life-long animal lover, students will learn what it means to not only play with their pets, but to clean up after them, pay attention to them, feed them properly, and proper ways to exercise them. We will discuss different breeds, adopting a shelter pet, paying attention to warning signs that animals give us, buying proper toys for your animal and students will receive a recipe on how to make an animal-safe treat! Students will have the chance, if they choose, for a show and tell of their pet(s). *Please note that the recipe will be given at the end of class for students to do with their parents after class.

Orientación para padres
A recipe of a safe and pet-friendly treat will be given for students, along with their parents, to try with their animals. Please make sure to consult with your Veterinarian in case your pet may have a negative reaction to any of the ingredients. You will want to avoid adding any ingredient that you know that your pet has reacted poorly to in the past. If you are experimenting with new flavors, feed the treat to your dog in a small amount to see how he/she reacts to it before distributing an entire treat. Store your homemade dog treats in an airtight container and place them in the freezer. Allow the treat to thaw for 10 – 20 minutes prior to serving to your dog.
**Parents who have multiple students in this class will receive a 10% discount.**

I am not an animal trainer or veterinarian, although I have attended dog training sessions with my own dogs and regularly seek advice from my Veterinarian. I have had dogs and cats my entire life and am just wanting to share basic tips with children on how to have fun, but properly care for their pets.
