This 25 minute lesson will start with understanding the Pledge of Allegiance. Students will know the reason why we celebrate President's Day! Student will learn about the lives of a few United States Presidents. Students will test their understanding through fun activities and games. Students will learn about the role of the President through an engaging song! By the end of class they will know: =What President's Day is and why we celebrate this holiday? =Fun facts about Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln!

This class will mention the Emancipation Proclamation and the 13th Amendment. Both documents were signed and amended to end slavery. I will mention the Revolutionary War simply to acknowledge President George Washington as the leader of the army.
