This live session will teach children the difference in between odd and even numbers and how we can recognize them. The purpose of this activity is to verify that each number is a quantity on its own, the numbers can be sequence, and then there are an even numbers within the alignment numbers 1-10 etc… During this live session we will only focus on numbers 1-10. 

During class learners will get an opportunity to create numbers with guidance. We will then look at the difference between even and odd numbers. After learners have understood the concept, I will ask open ended questions. 

Learners are encouraged to bring a set of numbers 1-10 to class and also 55 counters that they can use to count with.

Montessori-This method of education is based on self directed activities, hands-on learning and collaborative play. In Montessori classrooms children make creative choices in their learning, while the teacher offers age-appropriate activities to guide the process. 

Experience in this field of work is required and I have had the proper training and guidance in order to successfully teach this skill. I also have a degree in Education and Health and Human Services, and this has allowed me to see things from different perspectives.
