Grado de EE. UU. Kindergarten - 1
Welcome to Science Class! This class will have a new topic each week where we will explore science topics geared to kindergarten and first grade. We will learn and apply the scientific method to our topic of the week and conduct an experiment or investigation. Each week I will post a printable handout that students can use during class as we make observations, formulate a hypothesis, conduct an experiment or investigation, and draw a conclusion. On weeks that we have an experiment, I will demonstrate the experiment in class and post directions on how students (with parent supervision!) can complete the experiment at home, outside of class. It is not a problem if students do not have the handouts for class. They are always welcome to listen and participate by sharing ideas and answering questions. My favorite part of teaching is building relationships! I strive to create a positive, relaxed environment where we can learn and have fun. I do not require students to mute, but I will mute students if there is distracting background noise. It is helpful for students to know how to mute/unmute themselves. I encourage students to ask questions and participate! I offer a first and second grade science class as well if your child is at older end of the age range or is ready to go a little more indepth in our topics: https://outschool.com/classes/exploring-our-world-1st-and-2nd-grade-science-EpWHxJ8k Here are our topics (This class runs year round, and material will repeat every 40 weeks) : FALL 2024 Habitats Week of August 19: Habitats- Arctic Week of August 26: Habitats- Ocean Week of September 2: Habitats- Forest Week of September 9: Habitats- Desert Week of September 16: Habitats- Rainforest Force and Motion Week of September 23: Push & Pull Week of September 30: Gravity & Magnets Week of October 7: Simple Machines Week of October 14: Fall Break- No classes this week Week of October 21: Simple Machines Earth Science Week of October 28: Rocks & Soil Week of November 4: Space All About!
