Interested in watercolor but don't know how to approach the medium? Have you done watercolor but need some practice? Have you seen some cool tricks being used for watercolor and want to learn yourself?

This art class is designed for the artist who is curious about trying different techniques with watercolor. Students will learn eighteen different watercolor techniques that include but not limited to: painting wet on dry, wet on wet, using salt, rubbing alcohol, plastic wrap, paper towels, and more!

After learning 18 watercolor techniques, students will focus on flowers and how to properly utilize the recently learned watercolor techniques. Students will learn how to draw different types of flowers for the last four weeks. The last four weeks will incorporate different flowers and utilize different techniques and approaches. 

Please note this class will focus on FLOWERS ONLY. No branches, wildlife, or insects will be executed in this class. This class is structured to go step-by-step as a class. 

This class will be presented via Keynote and is an art based class. This is a SELF PACED class and is PRE-RECORDED. This means students will watch the pre-recorded video. Students will engage in questions, class discussions, and art assignments. Homework is recommended. Students will be encouraged to share their artwork.

SELF PACED FORMAT: 
🔹 Video Content: Weekly videos with a step-by-step breakdown of the art assignments are posted. Some videos will have a 20 to 35 minute duration. The work time for the student will be roughly an hour long. Students will review the video. 
🔹 Discussion Prompt/Question/Check-in: Students respond to a weekly discussion prompt and/or question(s) posted by the teacher. 
🔹 Complete Artwork: Students spend time completing their sketches. 
🔹 Submit Artwork: Students are required to post photos of their completed sketches in the classroom on the designated post. Sharing artwork is essential in a self paced class. 
🔹 Feedback: Individualized feedback will not be given unless directly requested.
