Tarea
2-4 horas por semana. Learners will be assigned three chapters per session to read. They should come to the first lesson with the first three chapters already read. They will also be expected to complete biweekly assignments where they will outline the story they have been building since the first class.
Evaluación
Learners will be assessed based on their ability to participate in class discussions. They will also be assessed based on their ability to complete project assignments.

**Previous class required** Before enrolling in this class, please make sure that your learner has taken my class "Warriors Book Club: Fire and Ice." I will be checking enrollments to ensure all enrolled students have fulfilled this requirement. This class is the third in a series of six classes covering the first Warriors series and completing a creative writing project. Throughout the six classes, students will read the first six Warriors books, engage in discussion about the books with their peers, and learn creative writing through project assignments. If they take each class covering the Warriors books, students will come to the end of book six having planned, outlined, and written their own short book. In this way, all six classes together function as a literature and creative writing course. 

The adventure continues in Forest of Secrets by Erin Hunter! Now that we have read book two of the Warriors series together, it's time to read book three. Each class session, we will discuss three chapters from the book Forest of Secrets by Erin Hunter. As they read, students will use the framework they built in the first two classes to create an outline for a short book. Each assignment will give learners the tools for mapping out their story based on Freytag's pyramid. Learners will also create a rough outline of what each chapter in their short book will cover. By the end of this class, students will have created an outline for their story based on the world and story structure they created in previous classes.
