I’m excited to invite you to our special one-time class on Tokyo, part of our comprehensive series on the Geography of Japan. This class will take you on an exhilarating journey through Tokyo, the heart of Japan, known for its dynamic culture, cutting-edge technology, and historic landmarks. Whether you're a city explorer, a culture buff, or simply curious about the marvels of Japan, this class is perfect for you!

① Learn about Tokyo’s unique characteristics that set it apart from other cities in Japan and the world.
② Discover Tokyo’s iconic landmarks, from the towering Tokyo Skytree to the historic Asakusa and the bustling Shibuya Crossing.
③ Explore the vibrant cultural districts, such as Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Akihabara, each offering a unique glimpse into Tokyo’s diverse urban life.
④ Dive into the rich history of Tokyo, from its origins as Edo to its transformation into a global metropolis.
⑤ Understand Tokyo's role in modern Japan, from being the center of politics and business to its influence on fashion, art, and technology.
⑥ Savor Tokyo’s culinary delights, including sushi, ramen, street food, and the unique dining experiences the city has to offer.

★ Date & Time: July 22nd, Saturday at 10:00 to 10:50 am EST (and additional dates if there is enough interest)
★ Platform: The class will be conducted using Zoom, YouTube, and Google Slides for an immersive and interactive learning experience.
★ Assessment: After the class, there will be an assessment to test your understanding and knowledge of Tokyo’s vibrant and multifaceted nature.
★ Series Information: This class is part of our “A Look at Japan” series, covering various regions including Hokkaido, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima & Nagasaki, Okinawa, and Kyushu. Future classes may explore additional regions such as Nara, Shikoku, Mt. Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko, Niigata, and Tohoku, depending on interest.
