- Students will learn how to hold the violin, how to hold the bow, and how to place their fingers to make notes of a specific pitch. Students will learn how to read music, and musical notation and theory. Students will learn how to play songs. Students will learn how to perform in front of others.

Students will need a Violin and bow. Violin must be tuned. Students will need a copy of Rubank Elementary Method for Violin by Leslie C Potter. Students will need a pencil and notebook for notes. Students may need a printer for handouts as needed during the class.
