Experiencia de clase

SUPPLIES NEEDED:Students will need to have 2 pieces of white paper, a set of 10 markers(thick or thin, or both), a scissors, pencil, eraser, and a glue stick.

Students will learn about the biography of Vincent Van Gogh and explore some of his artwork as well as a quick discussion about Pablo Picasso. while we complete a fun art lesson emphasizing the use of line in a loose and fun representation of both artists.
Students will be invited to play a review game based on the information presented in the class.
Students will also be invited to share their work and what they remember from class.
No background knowledge is required. There will be no homework per se, Students may complete their art project on their own if it is not completed during the live class meeting. Cross curricular extension activities and videos will be suggested. A PDF (ebook) of the live presentation will be available in the classroom immediately after class concludes. A video of the class will also be available within 24 hours of the completion of the class.

Not all students work at the same pace and some learners will finish their artwork during the live meeting and others will not. It is my belief that young artists should not be rushed. If students don't finish during the live class meeting time, they are encouraged to complete their art independently.

Not all students finish their artwork during the live class meeting.

Class begins promptly at the start time.
Students more than five minutes late will asked to leave and be transferred to another section.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I am an artist and photographer specializing in fine art, photography, and art education. In addition, I have been a homeschool educator for 16 years. I have taught children's art classes privately and through local after school and children's museum programs. Her photography has appeared in Parents Magazine and numerous photography blogs. I enjoy finding connections between things that don't seem connected upon first glance. To do that, I divide things down to their simplest parts and look for similarities. As a result I am able to break down seemingly complicated projects into simple step by step lessons. I also have a great appreciation for irony in art and life and try to infuse humor and silliness in my lessons and in my own work as well.
