Join our beginner Spanish class! Explore family, introductions, hobbies, sports, transportation, clothing, art, music, history, and Latin culture. Master verb conjugation, numbers, dialogue practice, and fairy tales. Discover body parts in Spanish for a comprehensive language journey! I will be adding references to any pictures, music, or historical information that is used in my slides to the end of each of my slide presentations.

Three Kings Day, or Día de los Reyes Magos, is a cultural celebration on January 6th in many Spanish-speaking countries, where families exchange gifts and enjoy special treats like Roscón de Reyes to honor the tradition of the Three Wise Men who brought gifts to Jesus according to Christian beliefs. I will challenge myself to teach a Roscón recipe! Learn to read a recipe in spanish. Learn the verbs hornear, agregar, and mezclar. Practice numbers.Week 7Lesson 13Read a fairytale, Leer un cuento de adasI will visit the library, La biblioteca and bring us a fun fairytale to read in spanish and translate it in English. Come in your favorite Fairytale costume if you would like. We will take turns reading the text on my slide presentation so everyone can practice reading in spanish. Tell us about your costume and who or what you dressed up as. I can help you or you can research it ahead of time! Excited to see what each student wears and says in spanish that day! I may need to reference google.Lesson 14Transportation, cars, train, rockets ! El Transporte, autos, trenes, y cohetes!Learn to name several exciting forms of transportation around the world. Let's explore some amazing vehicles. Kids, bring your favorite transportation toy or make a visual to share with the class of your dream form of travel. Do you wish to board a plane, train, or hot air balloon? For me, I have never boarded a cruise. Verbs this week abordar and empacar. What items will you pack in your maleta? So much to discuss in this class!Week 8Lesson 15Music and Art, Music y arteThis class will be a fun relaxed class with dancing and visual art examples from several Spanish countries. I will refrain from sharing any that might be suggestive or meant for an older audience. Learn the verb Bailar and Pintar.Lesson 16Manners in Latin culture, Modales en cultura LatinaIn this class, you'll learn how to greet others, say goodbye politely, and show respect when addressing your parents in a Latin American setting. Practice the correct phrases for these situations in Spanish. Learn the verb saludar and despedir. Learn additional vocabulary related to addressing parents and peers in the home and school settings.

- Students will engage in conversations with family and friends in Spanish, discussing personal preferences and interests.
- Students will learn to conjugate verbs in Spanish, emphasizing similarities to subject-verb agreement in English.
- Students will incorporate fundamental concepts such as numbers, days of the week, and other essential vocabulary into their dialogues. Lessons will integrate these concepts naturally to enhance practical language use.
- Students will write an English sentence to be translated into Spanish for practice at the end of each class. Teachers will facilitate personalized practice opportunities for every student.
- Students will explore geography, climate, culture, history, and celebrations of Spanish-speaking regions.
Fluent and native Spanish speaker. Also fluent in English. I welcome children of both English and Spanish background, and all backgrounds in my class. The goal is to learn to cross the language barrier and be able to communicate our thoughts with others in a new language.

Frecuencia: 1 después de finalizar la claseDetalles: Certificate of Completion will be presented by email at the end of the course. Student must attend at least 80% of the classes and watch any missed recordings to receive the certificate.
Of course life happens, but do try to prevent noisy distractions for this class such as Tv, pets, siblings, etc. We will be dialoguing in Spanish together. Take notes if possible.
PC or laptop. Camera and microphone either built in or separate. Child must be present on camera to attend the class. No turned off cameras. Pencil and paper for those who are visual learners and like to take notes.
My content will never be scary. I try to keep everything family friendly.
