Learn subject verb agreement for the verbs gustar and comer. Dialogue about family and food forming full sentences about our enjoyment for food. Learn numbers 1-10 and tell us how many are in your family.

Hobbies and Sports, Hobbies y deportes
Learn how to tell a friend your hobbies and extracurricular activities in spanish. Learn to conjugate verb gustar.  Learn the numbers 11-20.  Learn the verbs to like and to go.

Lesson 3
Pets and Farm Animals, Mascotas y Animales
Learn the names of farm animals and how to tell a friend what kind of pets are in your home. Pet show and tell at the end of class. Learn the verbs Cuidar and other verbs related to pet care. Learn the numbers 21-30.  Let's explore an exotic creature. Hint it is a type of cat.
Lesson 4
Professions, Profesiones
Let's discuss what we want to be when we grow up and why. Practice the verb Querer and the word Cuando. Learn the numbers 31-40. Let's explore the life of a coffee farmer. Campesinos.

Lesson 5
Weather, El clima 
Learn to discuss the weather and let's explore geographical climate in the country of Colombia. Explore the snowy mountains, to tropical coastal weather, Colombia has it all! Learn the numbers 41-50.
Lesson 6
Parts of the body, Partes del cuerpo
Learning how to talk about our body parts in Spanish. Face, arms, legs, hands, and feet. Sing-a-long to head, shoulders, knees, and toes in spanish.  Form sentences with the verbs Bañar , Limpiar, Correr, and Trabajar. Review numbers 1-50.

Lesson 7
Clothing and Accessories, Ropa e accesorios
Fashionista or not, we need to be able to name clothing articles in spanish too. Tell us what you wear to school and to play outside.  What accessories do you wear or do your parents wear.  Learn the verbs Poner and Vestir. Learn the numbers 51-60.
Lesson 8
Visiting the Zoo, Visitar el zoológico
Discover the fascinating world of zoo animals while learning Spanish! Explore vocabulary for zoo creatures and practice using verbs like alimentar , visitar, and tocar. Learn the numbers 61-70. Begin learning to tell and ask about the time in spanish.

Lesson 9
Environment, El Ambiente
Let's explore our environment. Both natural and man-made. Practice conjugation of the verb Mirar. Let's explore the city, jungle, countryside of Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Spain. Practice numbers 71-80. Learn to ask for and give directions.
Lesson 10
Celebrations, Celebraciones
During the Feria de las Flores, the city of Medellín bursts into life with a dazzling array of events and activities. So many flowers! Wear a flower shirt or headband if you have one! Learn the colors!
If you don't have one maybe just wear vibrant colors. Learn the verbs Decorar, Crecer, and Cultivar. Learn numbers 81-90.

Lesson 11
Celebrations Part 2, 
Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican holiday commemorating the victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862, celebrated with parades, music, and traditional food. Learn the colors of the Mexican flag. Viva, Mexico! Learn the verbs Vivir, batallar, and cocinar. Practice numbers 91-100.
Lesson 12
Celebrations Part 3
We will be meeting in my kitchen for this class. Three Kings Day, or Día de los Reyes Magos, is a cultural celebration on January 6th in many Spanish-speaking countries, where families exchange gifts and enjoy special treats like Roscón de Reyes to honor the tradition of the Three Wise Men who brought gifts to Jesus according to Christian beliefs. I will challenge myself to teach a Roscón recipe! Learn to read a recipe in spanish. Learn the verbs hornear, agregar, and mezclar. Practice numbers.
 Week 7
Lesson 13
Read a fairytale, Leer un cuento de adas
I will visit the library, La biblioteca and bring us a fun fairytale to read in spanish and translate it in English. Come in your favorite Fairytale costume if you would like. We will take turns reading the text on my slide presentation so everyone can practice reading in spanish. Tell us about your costume and who or what you dressed up as. I can help you or you can research it ahead of time! Excited to see what each student  wears and says in spanish that day! I may need to reference google.
Lesson 14
Transportation, cars, train, rockets ! El Transporte, autos, trenes, y cohetes!
Learn to name several exciting  forms of transportation around the world. Let's explore some amazing vehicles. Kids, bring your favorite transportation toy or make a visual to share with the class of your dream form of travel. Do you wish to board a plane, train, or hot air balloon? For me, I have never boarded a cruise. Verbs this week abordar and empacar. What items will you pack in your maleta? So much to discuss in this class!
 Week 8
Lesson 15
Music and Art, Music y arte
This class will be a fun relaxed class with dancing and visual art examples from several Spanish countries. I will refrain from sharing any that might be suggestive or meant for an older audience.  Learn the verb Bailar and Pintar.
Lesson 16
Manners in Latin culture, Modales en cultura Latina
In this class, you'll learn how to greet others, say goodbye politely, and show respect when addressing your parents in a Latin American setting. Practice the correct phrases for these situations in Spanish. Learn the verb saludar and despedir. Learn additional vocabulary related to addressing parents and peers in the home and school settings.
