Self-compassion helps children treat themselves with the same kindness they’d show a friend. It fosters: A healthy sense of self-worth. Resilience during challenges. Reduced feelings of frustration or self-doubt.

I have been a school counselor and academic advisor for 5 years in a virtual school setting. I am in my last semester of my masters degree program in clinical mental health. I work with children and adults of all ages. I have 5 children who I have homeschooled for 20 years, most are all grown up. I am very passionate about families, education and social emotional health.
