Experiencia de clase

Nivel de inglés: desconocido
Grado de EE. UU. 3 - 6
Prior Class (es) : Three Branches of Government and/or The Revolutionary War

Week One: History of the Constitution
An examination of the people who framed the Constitution. We will look at their background, fears, strengths and how each their differences made a stronger Constitution.

Week Two: The Bill of Rights
We will look at each of the 1st 10 amendments to understand what the Founding Fathers intended and to see what the amendment means for us living in 2017.

Week Three: The 17 Amendments
This is part of what makes our Constitution so phenomenal. It changes with the times – we have things and experiences in 2017 that the Founding Fathers could not have envisioned in 1776.

Week Four:
The Amendment Process – A close review how an amendment is added and how an amendment can be repealed. This class will look at the Prohibition Amendment and its later repeal. This experience is often excused with “you can't legislate morality” however if we look at the Bill of Rights and the Amendments, we see that we have been legislating morality almost since the nation’s founding.
