In this self paced class we will explore ancient buried cities. I will provide engaging video lectures for each lesson. The lectures will discuss the history of how each site was found, what we have learned through the study of each site, what archaeologists believe about how the people of each civilization lived and what the future holds for each site. Going along with the lectures, students can participate in class projects, web based games and reading material. Class projects can be turned in either in the classroom or via private message. Lesson : Basics of the archaeological process and what defines an "age" (Stone Age, Neolithic, etc). We will also get a wide angle view geographical location of where sites are located that will be covered in this class. ***This first class lecture will be 30 minutes long. The remaining four classes will be one hour long. They are provided for students to continue their learning and follow their passions. Some materials will be more geared towards those on the younger end of the age range and other materials will be geared towards those on the older end.
