"The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe includes a theme of death. The raven serves as a reminder of the narrator's lost love. We will discuss the concept of madness - of the raven driving the narrator mad. We will apply this concept to Edgar Allan Poe's life, particularly the loss of his wife to tuberculosis. Edgar Allan Poe often included themes of madness in his works.
