Experiencia de clase

Who really knows all their Pokémon? Is it you? If you’re a Pokémon trainer, who can easily name all the different Pokémon there are, then this game is for you. Let see how many different Pokémon you can really name, in a fun game of Who’s that Pokémon on Kahoot.

This class is designed for kids to test their knowledge on the numerous Pokémon seen on tv and in the games. They will also meet other Pokémon fans. Students will engage in a fun interactive game of trivia on Kahoot where they will test their knowledge. Costumes and props are highly welcomed, along with snacks! Student can also bring their favorite Pokémon toys to show the class. This class is informal and designed to let kids have fun with other kids who love Pokémon too.

I strongly encourage students to use two devices (preferred/ easiest method) as they will use one for the zoom classroom and the other for answering the Kahoot questions. If comfortable with moving between windows or using a split screen they can use just one device. They will need access to the following web address- Kahoot.it. Again If the students plan to use just one device, they should become familiar with moving back and forth between the zoom classroom and the Kahoot screen. I will enter the secret game PIN at the beginning of our class. I ask students to not use Google, Siri, Alexa, or other digital resources to keep the game fair. I hope to see you soon!

Each Round of the game has a different set of questions. Students can retake rounds but the questions will be the same. Currently, there are two rounds

June 23rd: Round One
June 17th: Round Two
July 5th: Round One
July 7th: Round Two
July 10th: Round One
July 17th: Round Two

Metas de aprendizaje

I will encourage students to use good sportsmanship while playing the game and engage positively with their peers. It’s also a splendid chance to work on appropriate social skills for a virtual classroom.

Hello everyone! I am so happy to be teaching at Outschool. My first goal is to create an engaging and fun environment that will help foster a genuine love for learning. My passion is to help students discover what they want to learn about whether or not it is academic.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and have been working with school-age children for over nine years. I started working as a Youth Advocate where I taught students’ academic, social, and communication skills. This is where I fell in love with teaching kids by accident and realized how life-altering a true interest in learning anything can be. Since then I’ve worked with an after-school program in which I got the joy of instructing large groups of students in creating various arts, crafts, and science projects. Last, I spent five years teaching as a Paraeducator with higher needs students for a local elementary school before going freelance this year as an ESL teacher. My years in the classroom have made me comfortable teaching academic (math, reading, writing), behavioral, and social skills.

Outside of the classroom, I spend my time doing art, writing, hanging out with my family, and playing with my crazy ferrets. My parent also developed a curiosity about the natural world throughout my childhood I spent many days at museums, camping, and outdoors in my youth. That is why I often spend a considerable amount of my free time reading about animals, dinosaurs, and other prehistorical creatures. As a lifelong learner, I spend far too much learning about various topics in many fields including psychology, sociology, and other fields related to social sciences. I hope one day to get my Master’s in Social Sciences and teach at a college.
