This is a trial class to see if my classes are a good fit for your child. I teach various ages and have a specific style of teaching. This is a one time class where I will assess your child and find a good starting point for our potential classes. I will provide a variety of materials for your child to try and read to find the perfect fit. I like to create a distraction free environment but we have a lot of fun in class as well. Please take the time to see the classes I have offered and available times.

My name is Kate Aiton. I have a family of 5 including my husband and three children (13,11,8). I have been an educator for over 13 years. I have a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education. I have taught kindergarten, special education K-4 with a wide range of student abilities, a librarian for students K-5 and an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for students K-8. I believe learning should be fun and it all starts with Phonemic Awareness. This means reading starts with understanding sounds and what we hear. I also love reading for fun. My variety of classes will offer reading intervention, comprehension work and book study groups. I hope to inspire and continue to fuel your child's passion for reading.Reseñas
