Let's create a self care tool kit for anxiety and fear! We'll learn to: locate the feeling in our body create a calm point of focus name our peaceful spot dress up the fear meditate breathe & more We'll talk about 6 different ways to give to ourselves which include: Movement Meditation Drawing Sound & more And we'll go into the details of each to create a few powerful habits that we can rely on when fear and anxiety make us feel uncomfortable in our own skin. Fear is a wise feeling. It can tell us when to pay attention and when to pause. Yet when we don't take care of our fears they can lead us toward anxiety. In our class we use discussion, meditation and visualization tools to create new opportunities for the moments when fear has us frozen or anxiety has our belly in knots. Let’s take care of ourselves when we're faced with the unknown and our imagination runs wild. Let’s clear a pathway for resolution. Let’s learn to take ourselves from, "My tummy feels anxious, I don't want to!," to "I'm afraid because life is so different now," to "I'm going to draw my fear and then can I share it with you?" Once our children have defined their fear, we can respond with concrete next steps to address it.
