Notas de agradecimiento reflexivas: escribir juntos para expresar agradecimiento

Join me as we learn about the basic thank you note structure, including the date, a greeting, 3 (or more) sentence body, closing, and signature.  Students will be exposed to proper capitalization and punctuation for these as we learn how we can express gratefulness to let gift-givers know their presents were appreciated. This is a great skill to learn and can be used after any holiday, celebration, or event!

The class will begin by viewing both photo and live examples of thank you notes to build background.  We will then take a look at the parts of a letter format, of which students will have a challenge with the teacher. 

Afterward, students will work to unscramble the parts of a thank you note to review the basic letter format.

We will then collaborate as we walk through writing our own relevant thank you notes together using the basic thank you note structure.

After writing notes, students will have the opportunity to share their thank you notes with the class aloud during class, or as a photo in the classroom. Alternatively, they may choose to share their notes privately with the teacher after class.   

On the day of class, students should come prepared with cards (or folded paper) and a pencil.
