The social aspect of third grade is crucially important as students learn to communicate their thoughts, take turns, listen to each other and work together as a group. There will be opportunities for students to grow their social skills in every class.

Some lessons will have pdf worksheets for that will go with the week's lessons in order for the students to practice outside of class what was taught in class. A parent letter will be posted on the classroom page on Sunday of each week to describe the lesson topics for the next week. As with all of my classes, this will be a fun, interactive and lively class. Shy students will not be forced to verbally respond or interact but active participation will be encouraged.

Every week’s lessons are stand alone and do not build on previous so students can join class at any time with no prior knowledge required.

What will we learn?

As a father to an active 9 year old, I know that learning must be fun. The early years of a child’s education is critical not only for their future success but also their enjoyment of learning. I want to start kids off right on this journey. I have a BA in Student Ministry with nearly 15 years experience teaching children. I have over 5 years of experience teaching children on online platforms and pride myself on never letting kids get bored yet always be learning. I previously held credentials through the State of Ohio Department of Education (now expired). I have taught a variety of subject both online and in the classroom, including math, phonics, social studies, science, languages and health. I have a passion for helping children succeed.
