Students will master the oi, ou, au, alk, final le, and aw spelling patterns along with suffixes -ed and -ing, nine sets of homophones, and twelve common contractions.  They will be able to locate information in text, make inferences based on prior knowledge and textual content, identify cause and effect relationships, main idea and supporting details, point of view, fact and opinion, understand figures of speech, and author's purpose.  

I am an experienced and licensed elementary teacher.  I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I love helping kids learn to read and write well!  Your kiddos will be in good hands, I promise!
