(Note: The class schedule/syllabus is below.) We will crack the code of prefixes, suffixes and root words; master compound words and contractions; unlock the power of synonyms and antonyms; uncover the fun of homophones and homographs; and bring language to life with metaphors, similes and colorful idioms. These topics will support your learner's academic progress and foster a love of language. Each lesson includes worksheets I have created unique to this class. I send these materials out in an announcement message via the online classroom each week. I encourage families to print these resources if they have the means to do so. Having the materials printed and ready to go by the start of each class can enhance your learner's engagement and participation. If families are unable to print the materials, learners are able to see and follow along with the activity/worksheet on my screen. Students are welcome to engage in activities on a blank sheet of paper if this works best for your family.
