Does your tween need an outlet to share all their favorite books, music, films, video games or series? Do you love talking about your favorite films? Maybe you would love to find peers that are into one of your favorite animated or TV series. Or maybe you just want to be able to tell your peers about your new favorite artist. The Tween Review is a place to socialize with peers while you talk about the things that interest you. Each class will start out with introductions and icebreakers. Each week there will be a main topic, but conversation will be learner-directed. Break-out rooms will be utilized from time to time, in order to facilitate group conversations. PLEASE NOTE: This class requires a minimum of three learners. If you are interested in private lessons please send me a message. REFUND POLICY: I offer a full refund within 24 hours of purchase or up to a week in advance of the class

Hey there! I'm Mrs. Alexis, your friendly neighbor from sunny California, where the sun shines all year round!
I am thrilled to offer a wide range of classes that cater to various interests. Whether it's dynamic Spanish language instruction, engaging conversation sessions, captivating explorations of geography, or enthralling journeys through history, I take pride in providing a rich variety of educational experiences.
With a diverse range of qualifications, I bring a wealth of expertise to the table. I hold a B.A. in Journalism, specializing in Media Studies, and a minor in Spanish. Additionally, I've earned two associates degrees in Social Science and Journalism, along with a TESOL certification.
My professional journey spans across diverse fields. As a reporter for my local newspaper, I had the exciting opportunity to cover local events and write a captivating historical series on intriguing places within and around my county. Furthermore, I have valuable experience as a Behavior Interventionist and Behavioral Services Supervisor, leading a dedicated team working with children diagnosed with Autism. Our focus was on helping children improve their speech, motor skills, conversation abilities, and social skills through personalized goal-setting.
Having also had the privilege of working on two ESL platforms, I have seamlessly merged my passion for media with my enthusiasm for working with children.
I firmly believe in the uniqueness of every child, recognizing their individual pace and learning style. However, I am a strong advocate for infusing fun and enjoyment into the learning process. My ultimate goal for each child who joins my courses is to empower them to think independently, leaving each session feeling inspired and confident.
On a personal note, my family and I cherish quality time spent playing games, indulging in movie marathons, cooking (with a special love for Mexican cuisine), and embarking on enriching travel adventures.
I'm genuinely thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome each and every one of you to my classroom, where learning is an exciting and joyous adventure!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Alexis
