Unleash your inner caveman and join us in this class to learn all about life in the Stone Age. We will learn about 'prehistory' and talk about how we know about the past when people didn't write things down. Together, we will explore different Stone Age houses and learn about how families and communities lived together. We will learn about what people from the stone age ate and how they got their food in a time before supermarkets. We will also look at the clothes that stone age people wore and even look at some real stone age jewellery. Learners will get the opportunity to look at some stone age art and learn about the monument 'Stonehenge'. We will use real life archeological finds, as well as reconstructions to provide visual images of the different elements of stone age life. The class will be discussion based, using the images as prompts for questions and discussions. No experience or prior knowledge is needed for this class. There will be a small amount of text on some of the slides, but it is not necessary for your learner to be able to read as I will ensure that this is read out loud. All learners will get a chance to share their ideas, but if your learner isn't comfortable speaking that's fine too as they can participate using hand gestures or simply just listen in.
