1-2 horas por semana. Each week there will be a list of discussion questions (5-10) for the students to answer. These are opinion questions, and are to gauge what the student learned or had questions about the lecture. Each week there will also be a list of homework options for each student to choose from. These will be mostly short research topics where each student is encouraged to write a short paper (1-2 paragraphs).Evaluación

The Salem Witch Trials have fascinated people for the last several centuries. What caused them? Who died and how? Could anything like that ever happen again? Come join us as we walk through 11 weeks of witch facts, legends, and folklore. This class will be taught through recorded lectures and may also include supplemental videos (Youtube), readings, worksheets, and activities (recipes, movies, dioramas, experiments, etc.). Please see the syllabus below for a layout of the lessons included in this course. This class is presented in an asynchronous format. If you are taking this class through the Class Subscriptions, there will be no communication between learner and myself. If you are taking this class through the Self-Paced format, you will have 1 year to complete the lessons. If you choose to submit homework or communicate (questions on the classroom page), I will respond within 24 hours (excluding Sundays).

Students will learn not only about the Salem Witch Trials, but the possible theories of why it occurred, the witch hunts in Europe, different cultures beliefs on witchcraft, and other points in history where the marginalized have been persecuted.

There may some suggested reading material or films as options also. There will be discussions about the forms of torture that was inflicted up on the accused, which is why the age limit is set to 14-18.
This class will utilize Youtube videos for sharing of lecture videos, as well as supplemental lessons. All Youtube videos are embedded into the Outschool platform. This class may also utilize Kahoot. Learners will be given a direct link and game pin to play.
