The Outsiders is a coming of age story written by S. E. Hinton, who was just a teenager herself when it was published! Set in 1965, we will follow two rival gangs from opposite sides of the tracks in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Are the Greasers and the Socs really as different as they think they are? Join us as we explore the events that change the lives of these teenagers forever.

With engaging presentations and class discussions, this unit is always a favorite of my eighth grade students. Each learning session will include a lesson, chapter read aloud, class discussion, and optional assignments. Assignments may be printable, digital, or both.

This course is limited to 6 students in order to provide a more personalized learning experience.
