In this one-time class, the student will be introduced to a wide range of movement in a fun and safe environment. This class will incorporate fine and gross-motor skills while introducing balance, energy, rhythm, and musicality relating to dance. This class will also introduce listening and following directions. Students do not need any materials, just somewhere they are comfortable to move around in. 🧜♀️🐠**Please feel free to dress up in your favorite Little Mermaid Costume (Sebastian, Ariel, Ursula, Prince Eric..etc)🐠🧜♀️ **Please note: movie characters will not appear in this class, this theme is strictly for our music for class! Here is a break down of what to expect: -Greeting/Introduction -Discover Dance and a fun Warm up/stretch where we get ready and become beautiful mermaids! -Guided Practice/Whole Group Instruction-Students will be introduced to basic movements: clapping hands, stomping feet, bouncing knee, as well as basic foundational dance terminology. -Small ballet combination to Little Mermaid music incorporating and implementing new skills just learned. -We will end the class with a FUN locomotive "Freeze Dance" -Closing/Good Bye I hope to see your child in my class :) **If you enjoyed this class and looking for something more consistent, please consider taking my ongoing Princess Ballerina at the Royal Ball Ballet class for a fun-filled princess semester!! **NOTE** Learners will be muted following introductions to alleviate any background noise. If you students have questions, they may raise their hand and un-mute themselves! :) I will always try my best to prevent any interferences and disruption while the music and dance instruction is going on.

Please provide a water bottle for your learner to keep hydrated during class. Please have students an open work space available to avoid the risk of any injury during the physical dance portion of our class.

Hey everyone!! My name is Mrs. Danielle :)
Teaching Certifications and Specialities:
I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in K-6 Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama. After graduation, I taught preschool and kindergarten for 5 years. I have a huge love for children and all kinds of learning!
I am also a trained dancer of over 25 years where I have studied multiple genres of dance. I have been teaching dance at a local studio for over 10 years to children ages 2-18 and LOVE all ages! I am highly qualified to teach ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hiphop, tumbling, as well as cheerleading. I am a trained All American Cheerleader and cheer choreographer.
I currently coach, choreograph, and mentor young students with aspirations of trying out/auditioning for dance/cheer programs at the high school and collegiate level. I have also choreographed for the talent portion of local and state pageants. I also currently coach tumbling, choreograph, and judge numerous tryouts for dance and cheerleading programs locally.
Teaching Style:
I believe ALL learning should be fun! I am very energetic, motivating, and absolutely love to teach! I believe all students can do absolutely anything if they set their mind to it. I will ensure all students are comfortable and are understanding all material with constant student check ins. I enjoy working students to their highest potential and letting them know anything is possible! I love building confidence in students no matter what they are learning and I always try to make all students feel special!
Hobbies:
Of course dancing :) I also love traveling, cooking, boating, and spending time with family and friends. I also love ALL things Disney!
