Any work that is not finished within the lesson can be completed in the learners' free time however this is optional. I am more than happy to accept work outside of lesson times from children who were unable to share their ideas during the class or were unable to get their writing completed.Experiencia de clase

Each week learners will be provided with either a picture prompt (like something in the thumbnail) or a written prompt (e.g. "It was the day the Blood Moon fell") and all activities for that lesson will focus on this prompt. Prompts will all be related to the world and Zelda, changing every few weeks, depending on how much time needs to be spent on each prompt. The class aims to encourage a love of writing in learners through a medium they enjoy: Zelda. It gives them a safe space to share their ideas with like-minded individuals. We want to get their imaginations firing so they create beautiful works of fiction! We will cover a range of genres throughout our lessons, such as (but not limited to) adventure, fantasy, history, mystery, and much more all with a Zelda spin on it! Because of the endless possibilities given by the different prompts, many different types of writing will be covered and this will vary from week to week. This allows your learner to practise and develop many different writing skills. A lot of the lesson will be based on a discussion of the prompt, with children being encouraged to share their ideas with their peers and the teacher. Classes are usually split into 10 minutes of initial discussion, 25 minutes of writing, and then 10 minutes of sharing ideas. All prompts will be posted in the classroom ahead of the lesson so children have time before the class to examine it and think of ideas. Week 1: Eye of the Storm Topic - Mystery/Story Writing During this lesson, students watch a short clip from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom of a mighty electric storm. We will discuss the video and look at how the scene is set to make it part of the mystery genre. We will also discuss any questions the video brings to mind. Finally, children will have the opportunity to write the opening for a mystery story. Week 2: Zelda Halloween Lesson! - (Mild) Horror genre This week children will be designing their very own monster which could fit into the Zelda world. We will be embracing the Halloween spirit, looking at what makes something scary and continuing to investigate how to write suspensefully. Week 3: Eye of the Storm Topic - Mystery/Letter Writing Again we will be focusing on the Eye of the Storm clip from week 1. This week we will be constructing a letter from a mystery pilot who is flying into the storm to investigate, explaining his plans to his family. Week 4: The Divine Beast- History/Inference This week we will be focusing on a picture prompt of a Divine Beast. We will be looking at what this picture tells us about the history of Hyrule and what future technology might look like in the Kingdom. The children will create a storyboard of their ideas. Week 5: Tiny Dragon - Fantasy/Character Creation During this lesson, the class will brainstorm ideas around a picture of a baby Gleeok. From this, children will create their own character profile of a tiny dragon, deciding on aspects such as intelligence, nature, magic and much more! This is just the first month of lessons with many more exciting writing opportunities to come. Please get in touch if you have any ideas or requests.

Combat in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom isn't graphic, but it can still be intense and dramatic, especially during some boss fights.
Combat is presented from a third-person perspective and involves standard fantasy elements such as swords, shields, axes, bows and arrows, explosives, and elemental magic. Link fights monsters similar to goblins, ogres, and fairies. No blood or gore, though the animals Link hunts for food turn into raw, red steaks.
Some genres, such as horror, may be upsetting for certain children. While all material used is age-appropriate, some learners may not wish to take part in certain lessons for this reason. Genres will be posted in the classroom ahead of time, therefore parents can make an informed decision as to whether that particular lesson is right for their child.

I qualified as a teacher in July 2015 and began working as a supply teacher immediately to gain as much experience in the field as possible.
After securing a permanent job in April 2016, I worked with a range of year groups from ages 4-16. I was required to plan for progression and needed to ensure the social and emotional well-being of my children.
Since 2018, I have worked as a private tutor both in person and online. I now would love to branch out, with the help of Outschool, to creating gaming social clubs which will provide a safe space for young people to be online while learning and meeting like-minded people.
I always try to make teaching as fun as possible and truly believe the best way to learn is by developing an enthusiasm for the subject, which can only come through fun!
