I grew up in Canada and moved to the US, where my 2 children were born. As a family, we spend a lot of time travelling between the 2 countries. We also like to go on nature hikes, watch movies and host family game nights. Traveling to new places gets me really excited!
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱
My experience in teaching started when I was in high school as a math and ESL tutor. I majored in life sciences at Queen’s University in Ontario with a minor in psychology. I moved to North Carolina and practiced for 5 years as a chiropractor and acupuncturist before starting a family and embarking on a second career as a university instructor. I have been teaching anatomy & physiology and medical terminology for over 15 years and am still loving it!

Whether teaching in person or online, I use interactive activities and games to introduce or reinforce new material. My goal in teaching is to reach out to every individual and get them engaged in their own learning.
